  1. Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a boil.
  2. Cook over medium heat; stir occasionally to keep syrup from burning.
  3. Let mixture cook together like syrup and begins to coat the spoon (for about 10-15 minutes), then remove from heat.
  4. Refrigerate in a heat-proof container like a mason jar.
  5. The pumpkin syrup will thicken a bit in the refrigerator, but will become syrup again when heated.

  4. Top it off with strong, hot coffee.
