Ingredients You Need
Soft Orange Drop Cookies recipe
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- ⅓ cup almond milk, you can use regular milk as well
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice or ½ teaspoon orange extract
- Optional: 1 Tablespoon orange zest
- 3 ¼ cups flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
Orange Icing Glaze
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons orange juice
- 1 tablespoon almond milk or milk

Instructions How to Make Glazed Orange Cookies

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, sift together the dry ingredients of flour, baking powder, and salt, set aside.
- In another bowl, using an electric mixer, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add in orange juice, milk, eggs, vanilla, almond milk and orange zest, optional and continue mixing until combined.
- Add 1/2 of the dry mixture to the wet mixture and mix. Add rest of the flour mixture and again mix together until combined.
- Using a medium size cookie scoop, drop scooped cookie dough cookies out on parchment paper lined baking sheet and bake about 8-10 minutes, or until cookies do not sink or imprint when lightly touched on top. Do not over-bake. Cookies should not be brown.
- Let cookies set for a couple of minutes on the baking sheets before transferring to a wire rack and then frost with the yummy orange icing!

- In a shallow bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and orange juice in a bowl. Add in milk and continue stirring until mixed well and it’s a nice thick consistency, yet pourable.
- Dip cooled cookies in icing and allow to set on a cookie rack.
- After icing has set, seal cookies for keep soft.
